Founded by Her Excellency Sheikha Hind bint Hamad Al-Thani, Teach For Qatar is a local non-governmental organization (NGO) working as part of the solution to help solve some of the challenges Qatar’s students face. It does this by reinvesting exceptionally talented leaders into the government school system through a two-year teaching and leadership development program known as the “Leadership Journey”.
Teach For Qatar hand-picks graduates and professionals, nationals or residents, who wish to give back to the country by positively impacting student learning by providing them the opportunity to inspire students through full-time employment in one of its partner government schools.
The“Leadership Journey” equips Fellows with transferable leadership skills, adaptable to whichever career path they choose to pursue at the end of their Fellowship.
Teach For Qatar has strategic partnerships with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, Qatar Energy and Exxon Mobil Qatar. It is the 32nd member of the Teach for All Network, recognized in 2013 as one of the world’s 100 strongest NGOs by the Global Journal.
